Teaching practice, as I must say, the beauty of B.Ed. life. The first day of Teaching practice as a part of third semester internship was little bit perplexed. Even though the day was well spend. A total of 5 periods were attended and made a friendly chat with the students. Me and our gang, a total of 8 teachers, were really confused and even frightened by the past experiences and the narrative stories we had so far. But after this wonderful day I can ensure that it is not my worst decision, it is the best one that I have taken ever. I have experienced the true sense of live even after this single day. I don't know they are aware of that care and concern. But these students are really precious Gems. My ever first official students. My officially allocated classrooms were 9A and 9B, but today I have an interaction between 8B students and 7th standard students. Thankyou my team for being cooperative and careful for one another. Grateful introduction to OUR school.
Hey! Officially it was the first teaching experience. Other educational institutional experiences are extremely different when come to the Government or aided institutions. S.N.V.H.S.S. Nedunganda is the neighbouring institution of our college. My first class experience was with 9A students. Only a total of 23 students are there in total and only less than 20 students are present everyday. My friends were competing with a strength of half century everyday but still we feel it as precious. As an introductory section to the chapter my lesson template was really simple and clear. The topic Force, as it is clear to them from the very previous classes, I found it bit easy to convey my ideas. I had so many activities to ensure there participation through out. Students were not much amazing but were amazing in their own way. They were not ready to engage properly in the classroom and were restlessly wandering and chirped all the time. I found it as there training from the very past time. We the team had a very exciting day all over.
Really exciting Friday was passed behind. As usual we were on time at school. But the college memories haunted us severely. I am sure I missed the good days even after the 48 hours or above. Now it is time for my teaching experiences and life experience as teacher. Sounds exciting but it is bit responsible position. But it was the election day (26/10/2022) and the students were ready to vote for their dear candidates. I was there with them for a period for the time of voting and so that I could make it a precious moment to be a part of such school activity.
As a part of the Higher Secondary wing and the National Service Scheme there was a rally, assembly and flash mob. The rally extended to Plavazhikam junction and was really exciting. The campaign was strictly adhered by the Govt. of Kerala as a part of Anti drug Campaign. SAY NO TO DRUGS the motto they followed to establish a new beginning.
Mid day meal really a need for this school, I must say. We have a lot more students who were not completely free of the so called poverty and other curse of society.
After the election and the further proceeding I had my class for 9A at after the noon. We just entered into our Physics chapter, Work Energy And Power by introducing the concept of work. Work, even if it is familiar the concept was bit unfamiliar. The learning experiences were well established, that is my confidence.
That is always exciting to have diversity. What do you say dear?!
How could Saturdays be so engaging?! Diwali holidays are here today dear. The entire day was well utilised as it is demanded to visit our college as well so that we could check our lesson plan for the upcoming week. We signed the entire lesson plans in between the free hours. I thought it is easy for our teacher and others and will avoid the rush.
We rushed to our college. Hey, we met after 3 days. Even if it is bit childish it is something a kind of happiness to share.
